Compared to standard ER collet chucks, the company says TE toolholders are 250 percent shorter from the face of the collet nut to the spindle. Because of their compact design, their rigidity makes them a useful chuck for high speed or high torque machining.
Benefits are said to include reduced TIR, extended tool life and an expanded Z axis. These holders are factory balanced to 20,000 rpm at G 2.5 and are available for Cat 40, Cat 50 and BT 40 spindles.
