Manufacturers from throughout the region attended the ribbon cutting and open house for the new West Chester, Ohio, location.
This week, DMG MORI officially opened a new tech center and showroom in the Cincinnati area. The ribbon cutting at the new West Chester, Ohio, location was yesterday.
The primary purpose of the 15,000-square-foot facility is for customer support and training. DMG MORI USA CEO Thorsten Schmidt noted that the majority of the staff at the new site are service personnel and applications engineering specialists.
In his remarks at the opening event, he also described the significance of the region. The machine tool builder estimates there are 2,000 manufacturing sites within 150 miles of the new tech center that are candidates for technology such as the various five-axis machining centers and multifunction turning centers running within the facility. See the company’s event page for a complete list of the machine tools currently operating at the new Ohio location.
