, the New England distributor for the Revolution series of coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) from AIMS Metrology (Dayton, Ohio), is bringing technology to its customers’ doorsteps. Able’s AMMO wagon, short for Able Mobile Metrology Office, is a truck and trailer loaded with equipment including AIMS’ five-axis mobile HB, Renishaw’s Equator and other products that can be demonstrated and then packed up for the next location.
“Time is a precious commodity to our customers,” says Able co-owner Alan Lockery. “Metrology equipment is a must for today’s smart factory environments. With AMMO, a fabricator can walk out the door or drive to a convenient location to see these products operate without sacrificing an entire work day. It also gives them an opportunity to talk to technical experts and ask questions about their applications.”
The AMMO wagon will be traveling to Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. Fabricators can schedule a demonstration by contacting their local sales representative.
