AIMS Metrology’s Revolution LM series of CMMs combines linear motors with a Renishaw Revo five-axis scanning system. Unlike conventional machines with belts and pulleys, AIMS says, the LM model uses linear motors and is the only CMM on the market using this configuration. According to the company, the machine minimizes maintenance and decreases downtime, and offers positioning accuracy in the submicron range.
The company’s Revolution Series HB shopfloor CMMs with Renishaw five-axis technology is said to be the only mobile five-axis CMM on the market. The Revolution Series’ HB brings five-axis measuring capability to the production floor and is said to cut inspection time from days to minutes. Features include the OEM’s total aftermarket support program and retrofit services in addition to Renishaw Modus software.
