The Matrix is available in three models—800, 1000 and 1300. The portal design of the dual-drive gantry type makes use of the working area while affording the operator flexibility of action, says the company. The five-axis version features high-performance spindles with 40 kW and 100 Nm torque; the three-axis version offers torque to 220 Nm, with speeds as fast as 40,000 rpm. These characteristics enable the machine to achieve high speeds during the roughing and finishing phases, says the company.
