Eltool’s live tool modules combined with the company’s right angle heads are designed for internal machining of bores ranging to l" in diameter. Secondary ID milling, drilling, slotting and grooving operations can be integrated into turning operations to increase throughput, reduce handling and improve accuracy.
Designed for lathes with live tooling capability, the drive modules feature precision angular contact bearings; heat treated and ground shafts; and an anti-backlash design. The tools are cooled and lubricated by filtered machine coolant, allowing continuous-duty cycles. They are available in both face and OD-mounted versions.
Right angle heads for milling and drilling operations are available in a variety of sizes and lengths. According to the company, the heads are interchangeable with virtually all drive modules.
