An operating unit of MAG Industrial Automation Systems, MAG Maintenance Technologies has expanded its machine tool remanufacturing services to include Fadal VMCs. Offered under the trade name R-line, this serviceÌýprovidesÌýparts manufacturers and die/mold producers with the option to revitalize an older Fadal machine or to buy a remanufactured machine from stock.Ìý

The rebuilt machines receive a 158-point inspection, which includes axis motors, spindle-drive inverters, spindle cartridges, machine geometries, coolant systems, lubrication systems and other components. In addition, upgraded CNCs ensure up-to-date programming capabilities and improve performance, the company says.
Ìý
To bring machines back to their original specifications, the company regrinds and installs new way liners. Tables and saddles are relined with Turcite to reduce stick-slip conditions. The saddle may also be replaced, depending on the machine’s condition, andÌýspindles are updated to include the latest Posi-Drive way-lubrication systems. Ballscrews and servomotors are also inspected and replaced as necessary.Ìý
