Basic Line, a subsidiary of Precision Components, offers a line of long-reach extension toolholders from its “mini” series as well as face mills, v-flange, collet chucks and tap drivers. The company’s Basic line includes more than 300 products all of which are ground on a CNC grinder. The company grinds the ID from the taper drawn back into the spindle, which allows them to manufacture toolholders with a TIR of less than 0.0002".
All tools are Rockwell hardened 56 to 60, with a 0.030" to 0.040" case depth, which is intended to maximize tooling life. In addition to the company’s standard offerings, customized toolholders can be produced to match customer specifications.
