Available from MTI Systems, Costimator version 12 features upgrades for faster, more accurate and consistent estimates and quotes. The program includes new and updated cost models for painting, routing, waterjet and surface work. Manufacturing labor rates have been updated and added to the database, and users can now account for material drop or scrap, as well as minimum lot charges and surcharges with the updated Material Wizard.
Additional updates include SolidWorks integration, enabling users to paste dimensional CAM data into Costimator to avoid errors and save time. An enhanced data-import utility makes it possible to import data into cost model tables as well as complete parts, while an export utility provides additional reporting options. The updated part information screen is designed for greater flexibility with custom fields. With the improved Auto Attachment feature, users can attach any necessary work-center details, including cost models, tools and miscellaneous entries.
