Stevens Engineering offers a variety of tombstones in sizes ranging to 40" square by 60" overall height. Shapes include rectangular, four-sided, Silo construction, triangular, hexagonal and octagonal.
The tombstones are made from steel, which has a higher tensile strength than cast iron or aluminum. Steel bulkheads, welded flush to the top surface, add to the rigidity of the structure and prevent entry of contaminants into the interior. Furnace stress-relieving of the structure prior to finish machining ensures long-term stability, the company says.
The tombstones are available finished or unfinished with the company’s standard hole pattern, alternate patterns or plain.
