The Cybertech Turn 4500MT can deliver high productivity levels to cutting medium- to large-sized workpieces for the oil field and energy industries. The model performs multitasking machining and boring of long-shaft materials with a 12-position upper drum turret of turning and milling tools, as well as an eight-position lower turret of turning tools.

Specifications include a 15" chuck, a maximum swing of 33.8" and a 31.8" maximum machining diameter for the upper turret, with 14.9" for the lower turret. Workpiece payloads up to 1,014 lbs can be accommodated. An integral 50-hp spindle motor virtually eliminates pulleys and drive belts, and it can achieve speeds as high as 2,400 rpm. Rapid traverse in X is increased to 944 ipm versus 787 in the previous model, and the rapid traverse in Z is 1,181 ipm compared to 944 ipm in the earlier version. The upper-turret milling spindle has 15-hp output and can reach speeds as high as 3,000 rpm.

Other features include operator access to the upper and lower turrets and main spindle as well as C-axis positioning accuracy in 0.001-degree increments. The machine’s Mazatrol CNC features an optional integrated threading function, and programming for negative thread profiles and metal seal profiles is also included.
