OSG says its ThreadPro thread milling NC code generator software is said to eliminate the hassle of having to enter data as text, copy and replace. The adjustable configuration of multiple paths has been simplified to enable the easy creation of zero-cut programs. Single feed (one pitch per cut), which is suited for machining materials with high hardness, is available in addition to multiple feed (machining at each cutting edge length). The capability of reviewing machining trajectory enables users to confirm trouble-free tool movement to minimize tool damage.
The software is available in 12 languages and supports eight NC programming languages. It incorporates a RPRG (radius programming) value to reduce setup and machining time, and promote tool life.
