Emag’s PMD 2 crankshaft grinder features two grinding heads, enabling simultaneous grinding of two pin or main bearings. The CBN grinding wheels can be brought very close together to grind adjoining bearing simultaneously, if required.

The Lean Selection grinding machine from Erwin Junker is designed to perform rough and finish grinding on any batch size of camshafts. The machine’s orbital grinding method supports non-cylindrical grinding.

Norton Paradigm diamond wheels are designed for grinding carbide round tools and carbide and cermet inserts. The wheels provide a low specific cutting energy to enable faster grinding with reduced power draw and burn.

The Studer S141 universal ID cylindrical grinder, available from United Grinding, features a spindle turret that can accommodate as many as four grinding spindles. Three sizes are available for machining workpieces measuring as long as 51.18 inches.

Grinding and finishing machine supplier Heartland Machine and Engineering offers grinders from Shigiya, Hurise, Palmary and other builders.

Unisig’s gundrill grinder is equipped with gaging features including measuring software, a digital 20× to 90× extended-range magnification microscope, LED light and mounted swing-arm digital depth micrometer.

Sunnen’s 60-grit red aluminum oxide abrasive is said to resist chip loading and galling, even in stainless steel. The company says its red aluminum honing stones are suitable for shops that are concerned about damaging higher cost superabrasives.

Fermat’s BHCR cylindrical grinding machine provides program-controlled rotation of the grinding head along the Y axis. This feature enables sequential plunge or longitudinal grinding with a moving table, as well as plunge grinding with a stationary or oscillating table.

The S186-E electric shape beveler from Heck Industries is suitable for cleaning up holes and cutouts in plate. The beveler uses carbide inserts in a milling-style 1 1/4"-diameter cutter.
