Grob Systems Inc. to Host Tech Event With Industry Partners
The 5-Axis Live technology event will highlight new machining strategies for optimizing the production of complex medical, aerospace and mold/die parts.

has announced it will be hosting its , together with 19 of its industry partners, on August 22 at Grob’s North America headquarters and production facility in Bluffton, Ohio. The event will include informative seminars and live five-axis machining demonstrations highlighting new machining strategies for optimizing the production of complex medical, aerospace and mold/die parts. Tours will be offered of Grob’s 400,000-square-foot facility, which features vertically integrated manufacturing of machining centers and automation. The event is complimentary and manufacturing professionals are encouraged to attend.
In addition to live demonstrations on a full range of Grob machining centers, other industry partners participating at 5-Axis Live are leaders in machining applications, software, cutting tools, automation design and integration and more. They include Blaser, Blum, Concepts NREC, Empire Dynamics, Emuge-Franken USA, Fraisa, Heidenhain, Kennametal, Mapal, Open Mind Technologies, Robb-Jack, RotoClear, Sandvik Coromant, Schunk, Seco, Siemens, ThirdWave, Walter and Zoller. Seminar presentations will be conducted by Siemens covering its Sinumerik controls; by CAD/CAM software suite developer Open Mind Technologies about HyperMill CAM strategies; and by metal cutting solutions provider Seco discussing its cutting tools for medical applications.
Attendees will also be able to see live demonstrations on a range of Grob G350 and G550 five-axis universal machining centers, as well as the PSS-T300 tower pallet storage system and GRC robot cell. Grob will also have a customer panel available for attendees to learn firsthand what it is like to purchase a Grob machine. There will also be an opportunity to learn how the Grob Apprenticeship Program boosts manufacturing workforce development to address the skills gap crisis.
