Halter CNC Robotics is launching a $2,500 scholarship to support former and active US military members studying manufacturing automation or robotics. The company says it believes American businesses must support skills training for veterans and active members of the US military, and that its main goal through offering this scholarship is to raise awareness among veterans of the fulfilling possibilities of a career in manufacturing automation and robotics.
The award is available for veteran and active military service members pursuing a certification, certificate, associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing automation, engineering, robotics or any related field of study. In addition to contact details, Halter is asking for educational program information; proof of military status; and a bio that describes applicants’ stories, why they chose their area of study and what their thoughts are on automation in manufacturing.
Applicants must submit their information by Aug. 31, 2021. Halter will award the scholarship to the recipient on Veterans’ Day, Nov. 11, 2021.
