Toyoda Americas has partnered with Tungaloy for its latest lunch-and-learn seminar about accelerated machining of precipitation-hardened stainless steel. The seminar will look at and demonstrate machining of high-temperature materials like 15-5 steel, which must be machined with specific geometry and edge preparation due to its gummy nature and the high heat it generates.
Tungaloy will present its tool technology designed for high-feed milling, shoulder milling, and drilling for these high-temp alloys on Toyoda’s 8,000-rpm FH630SX-I horizontal machining center.
The seminar will take place at Toyoda’s Arlington Heights, Illinois, facility February 22, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
