ThinBit, manufactured by Kaiser Tool Co., is expanding its line of DeepGroove support blade-style tooling. The new tools are designed for internal grooving with a minimum bore diameter of 1" (25 mm) and are compatible with 2-, 3- and 4-mm inserts. Four neck styles are available: 3" reach with 0.375" (10-mm) cutting depth, 3" reach with 0.500" (13-mm) cutting depth, 1.5" reach with 0.375" (10-mm) cutting depth and 1.5" reach with 0.500" (13-mm) cutting depth. According to the company, the elliptical cross-sectional area of the neck provides maximum rigidity.
