Optical Gaging Products, a division of Quality Vision International, offers QVI Zone3 CAD-based metrology software for full 3D programming of its SmartScope family of multisensor dimensional measurement systems. The software includes a range of geometric measurement capabilities and advanced features such as multi-sensor automatic path generation, animation-assisted alignment tools, real-time virtual machine kinematics, a graphical sensor builder and a universal construction tool. It also features available integral geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) evaluation, with animated GD&T tolerance zones and simultaneous requirement analysis. The software interface can be configured for specific user needs with custom user forms and variables, report formatting, dynamic reporting with measurement results displayed on the 3D part model, and part family programming.
Zone3 is the newest addition to QVI’s metrology software offerings and is accessible via the QVI Portal desktop. Other Portal-based metrology software includes Measure-X; MeasureMind 3D for full 3D multisensor measurement; VMS for high-speed, high-feature-density 2D measurement; and Elements for turnkey electronic part measurement. The Portal interface enables users to select the metrology software to suit the measurement tasks at hand.
