Omax offers a 100-hp direct-drive pump as part of its EnduroMax line to provide increased efficiency, improved reliability and lower operating costs. Additional EnduroMax pumps are available in 30-, 40-, and 50-hp models.
The 100-hp pump features the company’s durable Inline 6 design and is said to provide as much power at the nozzle as 135-hp intensifier pumps. This increased power creates a stronger abrasive stream for faster cutting speeds; improved efficiency; and reduced wear, tear and maintenance, Omax says. The stable jet stream is also said to be as much as eight times smoother than that provided by intensifier pumps, protecting high-pressure plumbing and fittings.
The 100-hp pump uses variable frequency drive (VFD) technology that tailors power and water consumption to the application for powerful, precise cutting. With VFD technology, the pump offers increased power and water efficiency as well as streamlined pressure control while eliminating inrush current and reducing maintenance, the company says. Additionally, the direct-drive pump is said to use less electricity and as much as 75 percent less water than intensifier pumps. Its quiet operation also promotes a safer working environment.
