PRAB offers paper and magnetic paper bed filters designed to extend coolant and tool life, improve surface finish and control bacteria contamination. Paper bed filtration units handle flow rates ranging to 130 gpm, with different classes of filter media available to achieve specific micron clarity. Filters are suitable for applications of low to medium stock removal of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as organic and inorganic contaminates such as glass, rubber and plastic. Drum-type models occupy a smaller floor space and can process as much as 500 gpm of fluids.
The magnetic paper bed filter models are suitable for pre-filtering ferrous materials from industrial process liquids. The filtering surface of the magnetic paper bed filter is automatically indexed only when necessary. Units are available with flow rates ranging to 250 gpm with an automated self-cleaning system to minimize maintenance.
