Trumpf’s TruLaser Cell 3000 five-axis laser machine is designed for fine cutting and precision welding applications. The laser’s focal point is easily matched to the thickness of the sheet metal, simplifying metal processing. The diameter of the focus can also be expanded, a feature which reduces downtime and is helpful during welding operations, Trumpf says. The laser cutting machine offers a compact footprint with integrated electrical controls, cooling units and laser optics. Its modular design enables it to adapt to various requirements in a production environment.
The versatile machine is said to enable cost-efficient laser processing of 2D and 3D components and produce high-quality results in small or medium-sized workpieces. According to the company, it is suitable for applications ranging from one-off prototypes to high-volume productions. Equipped with solid-state laser options available with as much as 8 kW of power, the laser cutting machine is also capable of processing nonferrous metals. It is well-suited for use by job shops, automotive subcontractors and metal device manufacturers, among others.
