The 90-KSI Edge X-5 five-axis waterjet system from Jet Edge is designed to cut precise, taper-free parts from virtually any material, including complex 3D parts such as impellers and bevels ranging to 50 degrees.
Suited for harsh industrial environments, the waterjet system features a sturdy design that separates the motion system from the catcher tank, eliminating vibration for improved part quality. The machine is ballscrew-driven for precision and features direct-couple AC brushless digital servomotors, and single or double carriages. Critical bearing components are protected with heavy metal covers with brush seals and positive air pressure. The waterjet is available in sizes ranging from 5 × 5 ft. to 24 × 13 ft. It is equipped with an industrial PC controller, and a second cutting head is available as an option.
The company will also highlight its X-Stream waterjet intensifier pump and Eco-Jet direct-drive pump.
