Manufactured in Taiwan and distributed throughout the United States, the W-EDM S series of CNC wire EDMs from Kaast delivers surface quality combined with technologies to help keep production efficient. Automatic corner control contributes to high geometric accuracy during production. Automatic wire tension monitoring helps to ensure that tools are machined quickly without sacrificing precision. The machine is equipped with a 64-bit CNC with 2D/3D graphics for six-axis machining of complex forms.
The automatic wire threading (AWT) option (0.006" to 0.012" copper wire with a water jet 0.04" in diameter) further saves production time.
