Mazak Optonics Corp.’s Optiplex 3015 Neo 15kW 2D fiber laser-cutting system is designed for increased control of beam shape and beam diameter. The machine automatically adjusts beam diameter to optimally cut various materials and adjusts beam shape to control the concentration and power density of the laser beam. The company says the result is improved cut speed and quality for a wide range of materials.
The Optiplex 3015 Neo is equipped with large front and side access doors for accessibility and ease of operation. It features minimized work area restrictions to support fast, simple material loading material and parts unloading.
It also comes equipped with Mazatrol SmoothLx CNC control that features a 21.5" screen and touch panel. Dual monitors enable multiple applications to run simultaneously. Additionally, the CNC control rotates, so operators can work at the front or side of the machine.
The system is equipped with a number of intelligent functions. The nozzle-centering camera provides visibility of nozzle location while adjustments are made on the torch. Camera-assisted part nesting automatically determines the arrangement of parts for cutting on remnant material. Intelligent setup, monitoring and cutting functions support optimal laser-cutting performance.
