The Powermaster CNC series of universal ID/OD grinders from Supertec Machinery is capable of performing complex and high-precision ID and OD grinding operations in a single chucking or between centers for savings in setup and grind times. Two models are available: The PMG-A is capable of ID, OD, shoulder, taper and face grinding, while the PMG-B model also adds the ability to grind non-round parts for greater flexibility.
The grinder features a turret wheelhead design with two OD grinding wheels, a straight wheel and an angle wheel, as well as an ID wheel. The turret is programmable to enable the operator to move freely from one wheel to the other. The grinder’s reinforced, ribbed, box-type base is made of Meehanite cast iron to ensure high rigidity and stability. High-precision, hand-scraped Turcite-B-coated V and flat guideways combined with a hydrodynamic lubrication system provide accuracy and dependability. Capable of grinding complex workpieces in small- and large-batch production, the grinder is well-suited for applications in the automotive, medical, machine tool, aerospace, and pneumatic and electric motor industries.
