Several aims of the “quantum leap” technology inherent in Cimcool Quantalube 270XL products are to improve productivity and part quality in all types of grinding applications while reducing overall manufacturing costs.
According to Milacron, the removal process combines roughing and finishing, quickly removing stock and providing good surface finishes. The fluid is useful for processes with a high degree of severity and pressure, such as bearings, struts or valve grinding.
Potential advantages of using the product line are (in terms of lubricity) achieving performance similar to straight oils without some of the problems often associated with their use; improved wheel life by as much as 400 percent, when compared to soluble oils or synthetics; and high stock removal.
