Fermat Machine Tool will display its BUC, BHC and BUB universal cylindrical grinding machines, including a new model of the BUC 63/4000 CNC and the BUB E 50/1000 with a new CNC system. Designed for traverse, plunge-cut grinding of cylindrical and conical external surfaces, the grinding machines are also available with internal grinding attachments for cylindrical and conical internal surfaces. Face-surface grinding can be performed with the side of the grinding wheel.
The machines can be used in single-part and series production for grinding workpieces weighing as much as 3,000 kg, and are said to provide accuracy ranging to 0.002 mm. The automatic working cycle and axial probe option makes the machines suitable for series production. A joystick simplifies operator intervention and enables simplified transitions from manual to CNC operation.
