The Maxiem 1515 features a 30-hp, direct-drive pump capable of 50,000 psi and an Intelli-MAX Basic control. A custom X- and Y-axis traction drive system is designed to handle an abrasive environment. The waterjet is also equipped with an abrasive nozzle assembly and a durable abrasive feed system.
Suited for fabrication shops; metal service centers; trade schools; job shops; and architectural, sign, stone and gasket shops, the center features a table size of 92" × 69" (2,337 × 1,752 mm) and a maximum load of 125 pounds per square foot (600 kg per square meter). The abrasive waterjet cuts a variety of materials without creating heat-affected zones or mechanical stresses, the company says. By cutting parts directly from the plate, the waterjet also reduces setup time and material usage.
